I don't get it? How does The Swiftsure still have any population?!? Okay, so far, the doomsayers didn't predict the end of the world... again. We're entering our third month after release of SWTOR and things are still changing and moving.
We have quite a dynamic membership and are making strides to support all of you. We're creating a very small, static, group of people who will be pioneering content, banging their heads against the walls, and basically spending ridiculous amounts of credits figuring out things for the rest of us. This is going to make available more slots for people to start working on hard mode content and get their rakata gear, which is good news for everyone.
What does this mean? Yes, normal mode content will, soon(TM), not yet though, go to the way-side and be relegated to spontaneous guild pick-up groups, or pugs. This is not to say that we can't schedule a normal run for crafting materials or just for the hell of it for alts, new members, etc. if there is a request. Hard modes will be the new normal.
What happened to 16-mans?!? We still, very much want to form and run 16-man groups, starting at the normal level. The mechanics for 16-mans are different than the 8-mans, and are typically a bit harder. The guild has more than 16 50s right now, ready to do this, but so far we've yet to have them all online at once, so we are continuing recruitment. If you see anyone that looks like they'd be a good edition to the guild, please send them our way!
PvP! We have a new core of people coming up that really enjoy PvP. I know I'd like to participate in some guild PvP, either on Ilum as a guild operation, or in pre-mades in the warzones. If you're new to PvP and need some help, feel free to ask around, talk to Arato aka Barrage, Deltron aka Nujabes, Chuckster... all very avid PvPers.
I'm very proud of the crew we've put together. NyX, as always, continues to exhibit a very high level of maturity and skill. Let's continue to build this guild. My goal is to have an average of 20-25 active people on during peak hours every night.
